Ochheuteal Beach is the premier beach destination
in the
city around 3 km long and extending into Serendipity
Beach to the east. It’s a bit like Patong Beach at
Phuket but on a much lower scale, also the sand area is
quite narrow.
There are
definitely better Sihanoukville beaches around but in
the evening Ochheuteal is the number one with dozens of
restaurant, bars and beach barbeque shack style
restaurants serving fresh seafood, beef, pork and more.
Plenty of
guesthouses and hotels are lining the streets behind,
when taking accommodation don’t be shy using a
guesthouse, because many places running under the
guesthouse label are better than a hotel, the reason is,
guesthouses pay less tax than hotels so it is simply a
economic decision, in any case check the place first,
